Android was at 79 percent of all smartphones to find the last quarter. According to new research from Gartner. This subject appears to continue. Growth of Google’s operating system Apple sees the market share of iOS easing.

Had Apple iOS in the second quarter of 2012, a market share of 18.8 percent, a year later, this had fallen to 14.2 percent. Android grew briskly during the same period, from 64.2 to 79 percent. The companies have jointly over 93 percent of the smartphone market.


Windows Phone

This automatically means that other players fight in the margin to perform. Windows Phone is in third position, but with a meager share of 3.3 percent. BlackBerry’s market share was halved in one year: from 5.2 to 2.7 percent

Apple saw the number of iPhones sold during the quarter or rise, growth lagged behind that of the total smartphone market. The market grew by 46.5 percent in the second quarter compared with the same period a year earlier. A total of 225 million smartphones shipped worldwide.


Samsung

Samsung, Apple’s biggest competitor, is still the undisputed leader among phone manufacturers. The South Korean group accounts for 31.7 percent of all smartphones shipped. Apple’s iPhone has to do with 14.2 percent. LG is the third player, and has grown to 5.1 percent market share. However, LG does Lenovo have come fast. The Chinese manufacturer growth of 2.8 to 4.7 percent.
