Kitkat (Android 4.4) is the latest Android version and grew in December from 1.1 to 1.4 percent. For now run Google’s Nexus devices and Moto G on Kitkat.
Also Bean Jelly, which is made up of Android 4.3, 4.2 and 4.1, is grown from 54.5 to 59.1 per cent in December. Many Android devices are updated to Android 4.3 last month.
The growth of both Kitkat as Jelly Bean at the expense of the market share of Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) and Gingerbread (Android 2.3). These versions decreased from 18.6 to 16.9 percent and 24.1 to 21.2 percent.
Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread run primarily on older Android devices that are no longer updated to a newer Android version, but remain in use. Usually, the hardware is not powerful enough to run.
a newer Android versionFroyo (Android 2.2) and Honeycomb (Android 3.0) are still running 1.3 and 0.1 percent of Android devices, respectively. The latter only runs on older Android tablets. Android Froyo is the oldest version that is currently being used.
