Downloads Android appwinkel possible this month exceeds Apple App Store - ZDNet.nl

Summary: Google Play has probably this month the Apple App Store as appwinkel with most downloads of the mobile universe, says an analyst from Asymco

The race for the largest number of downloads in their own appstore was far more settled in favor of Apple. However, with 900 million activated Android devices it was no longer a matter of time before Google Play took over the lead.

Google announced in May that it had exceeded even during a peak month in which some 2.5 billion users Android apps made it to their phone.
