“Google is working on local data exchange between iOS and Android ‘- Nutech

Google may work on a service for Android and iOS users to contactless exchange all kinds of content with friends or strangers who are nearby.

The reports Android Police on the basis of an anonymous tipster.

The functionality would ‘Copresence’ called and make it possible for iOS and Android users to certain types of files, such as photos, maps or music, sharing with each other, provided they close together in the neighborhood.

These would then be set up do not need pre-specified connection between two devices. The data instead, as it were virtually kept in a local place, as was previously described in a patent of Google about the technology.

Android Police compares functionality with Android Beam. Users can Through Android Beam sent via near field communication (NFC) content to another.

Copresence would make this process, for example via bluetooth and wifi, so without contact users do basically do not know each other yet content to exchange with each other.

leaked images can be seen include how an Android phone and an iPad probably exchange travel information. This will probably have to go through a separate app, given the need for communication between two different operating systems.

Google has no official announcements made about a possible introduction of such technology. Is Copresence According to the tipster from Android Police, however, already made available in the coming weeks
