This Google announced in a blog post. It is possible to search include Gmail, Spotify and YouTube.
The new search function would look at specific dates. It is possible for example to find a particular email or a message from a contact. Spotify is searched locally stored music library. This does not require internet connection.
Google will later add local search support for other apps, including Facebook Messenger, LinkedIn, Evernote, Glide, Todoist and Google Keep.
The LG V20 smartphone get a special button on the icon screen, which is displayed with an App Overview local search data. It will also LG’s own apps locally searchable
