Users of many Huawei smartphones to Android 7.0 update forget ‘- GSM Helpdesk Netherlands

Huawei has not given a very good reputation when it comes to the provision of software updates for older devices. That reputation is not really going to improve the next time, because to be a lot recently by Huawei released smartphones prove not to get an update to Android 7.0 nougat.

Android 7.0 Nougat is the ‘Vulkan API that offers new advanced and efficient graphics capabilities. This Vulkan API must be supported by the processor is in smartphones. Since Huawei in almost all smartphones own processors used prove many of these processors are not suitable for running the Vulkan API, reports the German (unofficial) Huawei Blog.

According to reports, only the recent Kirin 650, Circuit 950 and 955 Kirin processors suitable for the turning of the Vulkan API. Older processors powering many recent devices from Huawei can not handle the Vulkan API. That means that many recent and popular smart phones such as the Huawei P8, Huawei P8 Lite, Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and even the latest Huawei Mate S no update could receive to Android 7.0 nougat.

However, there is hope for users of Huawei P9, P9 Plus Huawei, Huawei P9 Lite Huawei Mate 8 and future users of Huawei Nova. These devices run on newer Kirin processors or processors from other manufacturers which these devices are suitable technically for an update to Android 7.0 nougat.

GSM Helpdesk Huawei has tried to request a response. Huawei was not immediately available for comment surrounding this notification.
