Google lets you finally apps by searching in Android – Android Planet

Android finally gets an in-app search, as Google has announced tonight. Users will be able to a large number of applications by searching on their smartphones using the Google app.

In the Google application on your Android you will soon find a button “Add Apps”. Press that button, you can search the data of many apps on your device. Searching for example, details from a conversation with a friend, but you do not know which app you’ve discussed? In Apps searches multiple messaging services. You can also look up numbers from the search function found in Spotify or old emails from Gmail

In Android Apps still search function only works with a select group of applications, including Gmail, YouTube and Spotify. The coming weeks and months, the range expanded to many other applications such as Facebook Messenger, LinkedIn, Evernote, Google Keep, and more.

The search is completely local, so you will not need to have Internet access to results get image. The settings you can additionally choose to not show certain apps in search results.

Google does not give details on when users with the In-App search on the go. Presumably, this feature is rolled out with the next version of the Google app, meaning it gradually but in the short term is available to anyone with an Android device. It is unknown whether the latest version of Android is required for the feature.



A first for LG V20

The LG V20, a new flagship that the Korean manufacturer next week unveils Tuesday is with a special shortcut. On the home screen is a button that will take users directly to the search. LG also supplied applications can be searched directly. The V20 is one of the first smartphones with Android 7.0 nougat.

In the Apps search has long been top of the wish of Android users. Apple offers a similar feature for years to include the iPhone. With Spotlight, users messages, notes and searching much more.
