Google: Nexus 6 will get Android 7.1.1 Nougat in January 2017 – DroidApp (Blog)

The owners of the Motorola Nexus 6 must be patient for the latest update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat. There is a bug discovered in the current version of Nougat for the Nexus 6, allowing the release of the latest Android version longer and wait.

Unfortunately, we found a last minute bug that was specific to the Nexus 6, which has caused the delay or the 7.1.1 OTA rollout. We’ve since fixed the issue and will be rolling out an update in early January.
