Android Kitkat than a third of Android devices – NU.nl

This was reported by Google itself based on a recent survey.

Kitkat’s share amounted to 33.9 percent, an increase of almost four percent from early November. When Google made last figures available, one day before Lollipop Android 5.0 version was released.

The market share of this is still less than 0.1 percent and is therefore not included in the distribution. Although Android 5.0 is already being rolled out since early November, the number of devices that the update has already received relatively limited.

The majority of Android devices still running Jelly Bean, 48.7 percent, although the decline has now been deployed. 4.4 In early November the share was still more than 50 percent.

From both Android Froyo, Gingerbread and Icecream Sandwich remains the share decline steadily as more new devices are running on later versions.

In view of the entire smartphone market Android had early November market share of 84 percent, making it by far the market leader, followed by iOS with 12 percent.
