Nexus 5: update to Android 5.0.1 widely available – Android World

The update to Android 5.0.1, which provides, among other things, a solution for the SMS problem on Android 5.0 for Vodafone customers, started yesterday. As usual, Google first start updating a small group of devices, and the update will spread wider. The latter is now the case.

Thus, including the bug whereby Vodafone users were unable to send text messages and could walk in at great expense. There are also other smaller and larger errors tackled and Android 5.0 should function better

Earlier this update was already available for the Nexus Nexus 4 and 6, and yesterday was the turn of the Nexus 5. The update was initially download only a limited number of devices. Apparently this limited test passed, because the update is now widely available.

Availability

The update is available now for much more Nexus 5 devices. To see if the update is also available for download on your Nexus 5, go to Settings – & gt; About phone – & gt; System updates. It may be that the update is not yet available for 100% of the devices, but it will in the next week, provided there are no problems, certainly the case.
