Shield Tablet Android 5.0.1 – Tablet Guide

Nvidia has released a software update for the SHIELD Tablet, which brings the tablet to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. The update contains several improvements and innovations.

The Nvidia Tablet SHIELD received late November an update to Android 5.0 lollipop and now is located next to again. Recently Google released version 5.0.1 off, with several enhancements and bug fixes. Nvidia is now ready to roll out the software update for the Tablet SHIELD, according to a blog post. The update Over The Air (OTA) spread, which means you SHIELD tablet automatically notifies you when the update is ready for download. This may take a few days, a little patience is required. Here’s what the 5.0.1 update brings.

  • Of course the upgrade to Android 5.0.1, the latest version of Android Lollipop. This update includes several bug fixes.
  • Improved system performance. The tablet should react more quickly, including when switching apps.
  • New effects for the camera app. “By the power of the Tegra K1 processor deliver creative effects a live preview.
  • The return of the SHIELD Power Control Menu, which in the previous update disappeared but” based on user feedback ‘has come back again.
  • Optimizations for large applications that consume a lot of memory.
  • OpenGL 4.5 support.
  • Optimizations for location services.
