this week announced Transport Tycoon for iOS and Android is not free-to-play game.
That reveals creator Chris Sawyer in an interview with Gamasutra.
“You pay for the game,” said Sawyer, who has little micro-transactions. “The game does not fit within the free-to-play model and I’m not a fan of how those games trying to earn through in-game purchases or advertisements.”
Sawyer wanted to first just dealing with the business side of development, but changed his mind for the iOS and Android version of Transport Tycoon anyway.
“Over time, I worked closely with the development team, I oversaw the design, I helped with debugging and I tried to help to make it playable in this complex game on mobile platforms,” ??said Sawyer.
According to Sawyer, the game completely rewritten for iOS and Android. “But he is really based on my old games, with a new interface and controls that fit the platforms.” The mobile version should end this year.
