5 great features of Android N – Macworld

Android N, the next version of Google’s mobile operating system, has no official name yet. And there is no releasdatum known yet, though we know that “later this year” will be. Nevertheless, we can already say something about it, because the third version of Android N developer preview is so good that we can consider him comfortable as a full beta. We can install it so on our Nexus

.

Android N has a lot of special enhancements, many of which are under the hood. But here we present five visible improvements do make us excited about the possible launch of the new operating system from Google.

De multi-window mode is great for anyone who wants to quickly switch between apps

Finally, we get multi-window support. Google makes us all good with this possibility since the first Android N preview first went live

Here’s how:. Hold the app you want to run along with another in the Recent Apps screen fixed and when the screen reacts can drag the app to the top of the screen. Then you can open underneath another app from the Recent Apps screen. Then you have two apps with each other in split screen

For the multi-window mode to get back press and hold the recent apps button. Then you get the first weather app full screen. But you can also see the edge of the app you want to keep all slide to the other side of the screen. This will close the other app and get the app full-screen.

Not all apps moreover work with this feature, so you’ll need to experiment. And another thing to watch out: there will be a free-form mode, which is available for the larger Android tablets. It lets you create the app windows as large as you want.
