Marshmallow runs on 10 percent of Android devices – NU.nl

This is evident from the latest distribution figures from Google. Android has always been a very fragmented system, where users often use different versions.

So Lollipop (released in 2014) is still the most used version of Android, with a share of 35.4 percent. This is only 0.2 percentage points less than a month earlier.

Version 4.4 Kitkat (2013) is still used very often, and is installed on 31.6 percent of Android devices. That is 0.9 percentage points less than last month. Jelly Bean (2012) stands at 18.9 percent of Android devices.

Previous versions are used by only a very small part of the Android users, and never exceed 2 percent.

Google will later again release a new version of Android this year. Android N as the working title is, is even available as a test version
