‘First Android smartphone from BlackBerry appears in August – Android Planet

BlackBerry is in August this year bring its first Android smartphone on the market. The device codenamed BlackBerry Prague is probably a low-end smartphone.

 BlackBerry Prague-Android-01 The BlackBerry Prague is probably a low-end device with no too powerful hardware. According to sources, it seems that appearance of the smartphone from the BlackBerry Z3, which can be seen in the screenshot at right. This is not the actual Android device, but a mock-up of the housing of the BlackBerry Z3 combined with an Android screenshot.

Also there are rumors about the BlackBerry Venice, a high-end handset with a 5.4 inch screen with a qHD resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels and a Snapdragon 808 with six cores. However, it is unclear whether this phone also runs on Android. We expect it because BlackBerryOS no high-end hardware to run smoothly. The the Venice hardware seems rather to be intended for Googles mobile operating system.
