There are indications that Google ads will show in its Gmail application for Android. The standard mailapp that comes with every Android phone is relatively popular.
Evidence of this seems to be found in the source code. Currently, Google only displays ads in the web version of Gmail. The Android client that sprung dance so far. How ads are exactly come to see is still unknown.
