The latest Android version Kitkat (4.4) is almost a quarter of all Android devices installed. Last month was this version at 24.5 percent of all devices that run on Google’s operating system

.

according to figures from Google, which publishes a monthly overview of the market share of all Android versions. Jelly Bean (Android 4.1 to 4.3) remains the most popular on Android devices. In total, just over 53 percent of these devices is one of the three versions of Jelly Bean, the first version (4.1), the most popular, with 25 percent.

More than 11 percent of all Android devices still running on Gingerbread (Android 2.3), a now considerably outdated version. It is remarkable that there are still devices are running on Froyo, an older version of Android. Incidentally, it is only less than 1 percent of the units. Ice Cream Sandwich is a little less than 10 percent of the units.

Kitkat appeared in late 2013, and its use is growing steadily ever since. Almost all the new devices that are being sold are equipped with the Android version 4.4.
