FBI not content with encryption of Android and iOS – Techzine

The American intelligence agency FBI is very worried about measures that Apple and Google have taken around the security of Android and iOS. The FBI finds it incomprehensible that manufacturers ensure that they can access the devices that they have made.

“The idea that someone has a phone that never opened itself no longer access can be-even touts as it’s- a kidnapper I do not understand, “ says director James Comey. “I’m a great believer in the use of the law, but no one is above it. It worries me that these companies commend features that users above the law.”

Apple and Google made recently announced that devices with Android and iOS L 8 (review) are standard encryption. Apple also stated that it is with a court order is not possible to circumvent the encryption. An extension

The FBI has such a war in the 90s already once before. Eventually, it was decided by judges that data encryption is completely legal. After that big companies like Apple and Microsoft started offering encryption for complete systems.
