Several manufacturers have already announced that current devices, the Android 6.0 update will receive and so is Sony. However, the manufacturer mentioned in this publication, no dates, on which the new software would roll out. A famous Twitterer has, however, now know that the Z5 Compact, Z5 and Z5 Premium from January 2016, the update can be expected.
Sony Xperia Z5
In early October made manufacturer Sony Update Plans about the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which showed that the original Z series and the Z1 series no longer receive updates to this new software. The new series consists of three units and was presented in September. The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Z5 and Z5 Premium will of course be equipped with Android 6.0, but when this would happen Sony has not yet announced.
A tweet that the world has been submitted by Ricciolo, a reasonable known person in this circuit, talking about a roll-out starting next month. First the Marshmallow update is sent to the Z5 family as can be read in this tweet, but for older Xperia models, the update will also follow soon. Rollout of these major updates always takes place in batches to relieve servers and ensure that everyone gradually receives update. Where exactly the update begins rolling out and if we Dutch and Belgians in the first round will sit remains to be seen, but in January we will see the first reports of the official rollout. Sony has also become heavily involved in the testing and deployment of an experimental Marshmallow-ROM, which is used user feedback to develop a firmware that can be sent to everyone
