In recent weeks we wrote several times about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Motorola Moto X Style and since last Friday, the rollout in Europe finally started. In the Netherlands we have been told from different users that Android 6.0 is also available for their Moto X Style. Earlier, Motorola released the Android 6.0 update already out for the Moto X Pure Edition, the American variant of the Moto X style with exactly the same hardware.
Like the update to the Moto X Pure Edition weighs Android 6.0 Update for the European Moto X Style also 650MB. Great visual changes as a user you do not expect, because Android 6.0 Marshmallow is mainly an evolution of Lollipop with some new features and the same interface. Motorola has also left almost unchanged the operating system, so you’re not stuck with all sorts of unnecessary bloatware.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system was announced in May this year started at the Google I / O conference in October the rollout to all recent Nexus devices. The Moto X Style will be one of the first non-Nexus smartphones access to all features that brings this version of the popular Android operating system.
One of the main new features is the power saving mode Doze. This mode puts you Moto X Style in a deep sleep when not in use. In this deep sleep that can no notifications are received and also the Moto Display is not working. Doze is the advantage of prolonging the battery life in standby mode, a large effect on everyday unfortunately it has not. Further, Android 6.0 brings a permissions manager that allows you per app to set what features should be there or not properly used by the app in question, and Google Now on Tap provides contextual information based on what is shown on screen (currently only available in English)
To check if the update is already available for your Moto X Style open the Settings – & gt.; on the phone and click the button software update. If the update is not yet available, wait a few days, because the updates are usually released in phases often.
The X Moto Style is the current flagship of Motorola with a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (515 pixels per inch) and stereo speakers. The device is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory which can be expanded with a micro SD card to 128GB. At the back we find an excellent 21-megapixel camera with support for 4K videos while selfies can be made with the 5-megapixelfrontcam and the large 1.4um pixels also see pictures in low-light well.
