The visual storytelling app Storehouse was previously available only for iOS, but now has also found its way to Android devices.
Tinkering in the digital age
Storehouse is an immensely popular app your photo collection keeps neat. The app won the Apple Design Award for its outstanding design on iOS in 2014 and is now available for Android. The app works much like the Google Photo Collections-feature that users visual stories be told on the basis of their photos and videos.
The app is excellent in making collages or the making of an album your pictures and videos, but I did notice that there are sometimes long loading times were when I tested the app on our Sony Xperia Z2. You start with your creation by choosing the photos and videos that you want in your collage. After choosing you can add text and then share your creation via the share button or link. Users are already here and have been very creative with making stories about eg their dog or vacation trip in a distant land.
Friends and family who also have the app you can invite as friends in the app. You can then use a group of several people manage albums called ‘Spaces’, where anyone can add photos to it. This is very useful if you want to share, for example, vacation photos with several people. It is also possible for you to create just such a space where only get your favorite pictures a place.
