Background – Android Lollipop has more to offer than a nice look and new features that users of the feet are good. Also for developers to find a lot of beautiful things.
Android 5.0, Lollipop, is perhaps best known for the new look with the Name Material Design. But the UI toolkit for developers has been greatly expanded, including the use of 3D-views, a multitask option for multiple documents in the same application, extensive BLE capabilities and new camera APIs. 5 Android (API level 21) even includes many APIs that most developers will not have the time to find them all. We have 6 featured you might find interesting. Tomorrow you get another 6.
1. 3D views and real-time shadows
Android 5 includes a new Drawable with features that add an extra dimension. With the attribute “android: elevation” you set the height of new graphical objects within the Android 5.0 app that you build. This ensures that shadows (with real-time rendering) are made under the object, making it appear as if the object floating above the background.
The altitude effect is also animating ‘View Property Animator ” introduced in Honeycomb. This calculates the values that the animation needs and put it to the view. Through this effectje you see apps directly slicker.
2. Transition Animations
The animated transition from one view to another, the Transition, has improved in Android 5.- with the Activity Transition. You can use the new API, the transition between different activities animating transitions explode, the view from the outside seems to come and “explodes” into the field. A developer makes this an Intent and Bundle describes various views. Lollipop further ensures itself the actual transition animation.
