The Android app gets an update after the Pebble smart watch notification on all other Android apps can display.
The update is already available for some Android users , reports Pebble.
This is a limited rollout to 10 percent of all Pebble owners with an Android device. Moreover, still Android 4.3 or higher is required to install the new version. Is that at a later date extended to Android 4.0 or higher.
The biggest addition that brings the update is to allow notifications by each app. Previously, users could only choose from a predetermined selection of which push messages subsequently entered at the Pebble smart watch.
That restriction has been lifted, as happened already in the iOS app last year. Users of the Android app can choose after the update per app if they want them to receive notifications on their Pebble, whether buying or off. For all apps
