Archos launches Android and Windows tablets at IFA – Tablet World

Although the IFA just over a week starts Archos already has a book was opened on the products that it’s showing in Berlin.

Archos may not be the biggest manufacturer but one thing we have to hand it to the French, they do not give up and remain for years invariably new release tablets. Small tablets, large tablets, cheap tablets, cheap tablets, hybrids, tablets for children; actually there is something for almost everyone.



Archos 101 Oxygen

In preparation for the IFA 2014 in Berlin, Archos already let us know what we can expect from them. Among others, the Archos 101 Oxygen will see the light at the IFA; a 10.1 inch tablet with a full HD screen. Oxygen runs on an unknown version of Android but given the specifications that Archos has announced so far, Android 4.4 KitKat would surely be a logical choice.

The Oxygen runs on a ARM Cortex A17 quad-core processor and 1.5 GB of RAM at its disposal, as well as 16 GB of storage memory. Or that memory is expandable with a microSD card is not yet known. Other details such as operating system, battery capacity, connectivity and size and weight remain a secret. Archos stores this information for the IFA, on September 5 starts

And then there is also a Windows tablet Archos coming:. Archos Cesium 80. A lot does not yet solve the company about this tablet, but the fact that both an Android tablet and a Windows tablet launch the French simultaneously, is striking. What we do know about this tablet is that it has an 8 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and that the device is powered by an unknown Intel quad-core processor.



Availability

Both tablets should be in October. already in stores The Archos 101 Oxygen with Android will be at around 220, for – start the counter. The Archos 80 Cesium Windows is still much cheaper and will have about 150, – Euros.
