Samsung comes with an alternative to Google Maps on Android – Techzine

Samsung has decided to provide an alternative to Google Maps to offer Android users. The South Korean company will have a beta version of Nokia Maps Here to offer for their own devices with Android.

The relationship between Google and Samsung exclusive raises many question marks. Google depends on Samsung because it is the largest Android manufacturer. Samsung depends on Google because the search giant is developing Android. One minute the two companies seem to look closer the next moment they seem to want to discard. From each other

This week Samsung raises again the impression that it wishes to be. Less dependent The Samsung S Gear is instead of Android Wear fitted Tizen, and therefore Nokia Lord cards, because that Samsung has a deal with Nokia. Now Samsung is also an application for Nokia’s mapping service, exclusive use by owners of a Galaxy device.

Here for Android is free and works without internet connection. It is also possible with Google Maps to view maps offline store, but routes retrieve or search for a location are not possible. These are things that Nokia vows to deliver.

Want to know more or functionality of Lord for Android, check out also the announcement message. The final app will be available when the Samsung S Gear ends up on the shelves.
