Prevent Facebook automatically play videos on Android and iOS – TrustedReviews



Android app

Step 1 Open the Facebook Android. app and open the Settings menu. To do this you must click on the icon with three horizontal lines express the top right next to your News Feed. (Not the icon with three horizontal lines and a silhouette which sets up Facebook Chat open)

Step 2. In the Settings menu you can now link to your profile page, friends, events, photos, pages that you administer, etc. appear.

Step 3 . Scroll down to the Help & amp; Settings section and choose the top item:. App Settings

Step 4. Under General Settings , select Video Auto-play .

Step 5 This setting offers three options:. On , Wi-Fi Only and Off . Choose Off if you want videos never be played on Facebook automatically; choose Wi-Fi Only if you do not want videos to play because you are afraid to exceed your data limit automatically

iOS app for iPhone and iPad

You can use the same Video Auto-play menu found in iOS, but it is in a different place. Instead of looking for a settings menu within the Facebook app, you have the Settings menu of your iPhone or iPad to open and scroll down to Facebook and select this option.

Then select Settings , and select Auto-play under Video . You then get the same three options: On Wi-Fi Only and Off
