Although Android L has already announced many manufacturers are still busy rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat to different tablets and smartphones. Asus is one manufacturers that much time and effort insert here. Last month, the Taiwanese manufacturer rolled the update to the Transformer Pad TF701 , and today is the update for the Padfone Infinity, called the New Padfone in the Netherlands.
Asus rolls Android 4.4 KitKat forward to two devices that were introduced last year. The first is the Infinity Padfone, a hybrid device consisting of a smart phone and a tablet optional. In the Netherlands this device as the New Padfone in stores. Unfortunately, Asus has little attention to the Padfone in the Netherlands, in our review we were after all quite positive. The second device receives the update is the Fonepad 6 , een6-inch smartphone that unfortunately the Dutch market never achieved.
Android 4.4 KitKat brings not very many novelties for tablet owners, apart from some stability improvements and changes in the appearance of Android. For smartphone owners will include the phone app and camera apps improved. All devices also achieve deeper integration for the printing from your Android tablet . Asus carries himself with the update also some changes, the ZenUI is the most important. This interface was introduced this year and is brought to older devices with the update. Mainly the notification and setup menus are given a flatter design.
ZenUI also brings some new apps with it, including an app that allows files of various cloud services can be shown in one consolidated view, and an app that tasks may be postponed or paused. On the other hand disappear several apps that were preinstalled on the Fonepad 6 and Padfone Infinity. An overview of all apps that disappear here.
