Android Wear Free
Google’s Android Wear app includes a lick of paint and added new features. The update comes shortly after the addition of including a new app list and wifi support to the operating system for smart watches.
This is new in the Android Wear app
The companion app that lets you connect a smart watch to your smartphone and set example messages and watch faces, has a new design. Top of the screen now shows a picture of the watch that you used and the sections below are shown in the map style that we know from Google Now. Tickets are also easier to distinguish and newcomers can directly tips for reading use, find apps and try watch messages.
At the start of the new Android Wear app is also asked Google Fit and Wear cloud sync in to switch. This is necessary to let your smart watch connect to wifi (something that you later need to enable in settings).
Furthermore, you now have the ability to link multiple smart watches and calendar appointments to give all your accounts. The settings window is neater, so you can easily manage your smart watch.
The latest version of the Android Wear app is at the time of writing not yet available in Google Play, but manually via this link as apk to download file.
New Features for Android Wear
Android Wear is thoroughly overhauled this week. The platform after the last update, a new app list that you open by swiping from right to left. By swiping again, you come to your contact list. Swipe again and you will see a row with various commands, such as “make a note” that you normally can do with the Ok Google commands and your voice.
Another important improvement is the support for Wi-Fi networks. This allows the smart watch can independently synchronize data, even if your smartphone is not around. Finally, new are the options to draw emoji on screen and send and the ability for developers to always best to leave the apps. The screen remains activated, which is useful when using for example fitness or navigation apps.
