Samsung Galaxy S6 (Edge): Update to Android 5.1.1 started, not yet … – Android World

In March, Google presented the latest version of Android Lollipop, Android 5.1. The first update to this new version start to get going and in the United States is working with Samsung providing its flagships of Android 5.1.1.



Android 5.1.1 for Samsung Galaxy S6

The American branch of T-Mobile gets the “honor” of being the first to bring the new Android version on the Samsung Galaxy Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The new version includes a lot of improvements, among other issues with the first version of Android Lollipop, Android 5.0, have been introduced.

Samsung-specific, there are some improvements. Thus, it is now possible to remove Quick Connect and S Finder from the notification list. Apps can also be sorted alphabetically in the Samsung launcher. Furthermore, the camera settings are simplified and would have improved performance compared with the previous version.

Availability

The updates to Android 5.1.1 for the Galaxy Lollipop S6 and S6 Galaxy Edge rolls currently in the United States on phones from T-Mobile. We know that Samsung Benelux although testing with this update for Dutch and Belgian units, but an exact date for the rollout of the update is not yet known
