Here’s your free Android desktop experience on the PC – Macworld

Remix OS is designed by Jidec to offer an alternative to standard operating system users and runs on almost any Intel or AMD PC. Although the system is rebuilt properly, yet it is compatible with all apps that can be found in Google’s Play Store. The system is based on the already longer available Android-x86 project

.

Unlike other Android system makes this system uses a “windowed app interface” allowing Remix OS resembles a modern Windows or Chrome appearance. Multiple applications can simultaneously be turned into separate windows, there is a “start button” present and even clicking the right mouse button is possible.

Version 2.0 (based on Android Jelly Bean) Remix OS will soon be available for free but is still in the alpha stage. Not everything will therefore continue to operate properly but you can come a long way. The system can be installed on a partition of your hard drive or be booted as a live system from a USB stick.

The people of Jide also brought a desktop-computer via Kickstarter to market. The $ 70-dollar device has a quad-core cortex A53 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage on board.
