iPhone 6s and 6s significantly faster than Android smartphones in benchmark – TechTastic

The latest version of the AnTuTu benchmark app is now also available in the Apple App Store and that means we can also compare the performance of Android devices with which the iPhone and iPad. For manufacturers of Android is that bad news, because the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus come in AnTuTu with a strong lead as the fastest off the bus.

Apple A9 SOC iPhone 6s and 6s Plus scores in AnTuTu 6.0 whopping 132 620 points and thus both devices are the fastest devices available today. Far behind, the Huawei Mate eighth with a score of 92 746 points, which is noteworthy since the Kirin 950-soc already uses the new Cortex A72 cores from ARM. Possibly the huge difference to the fact that this new version of AnTuTu more attention is going to keep the graphics performance of a device, and we know that the graphics processor of the A9 significantly higher performance compared to other high-end chips .

In addition, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are not Apple’s only appliances in the top 10, because the cast in 2014 iPhone 6 and 6 Plus do it with a score of 80 554 outstanding. Only the Huawei Mate 8 and the Exynos 7420-soc the Meizu Pro 5, Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy 5 S6 + Edge do in AnTuTu better. The expectation is that the Samsung Galaxy hole with the S7, S7 and S7 Edge Edge + is somewhat close.

This unannounced Samsung will be powered by the Exynos 8890-soc. Samsung has chosen this year for the first time for a design with four self-designed Exynos M1 ‘Mongoose’ cores combined with four ARM Cortex A53 cores and a 12-core Mali-T880MP12. Recently showed a Geekbench test already indicate that the CPU cores at least equivalent or better compared to the Apple A9, but we suspect that Mali GPU still more needs to recognize the PowerVR GPU of the iPhone 6s and 6s plus.

Benchmarks of course do not say anything about the user experience of a smartphone or tablet, despite usually they give us a good idea what to expect in terms of performance, such as the load time of a web page or framerate in a game
