Sony Xperia rolls C4 and C5 Ultra Android 1.5 update – GSMinfo.nl

Sony has started rolling out Android 1.5 update for Lollipop two mid-end smartphone. Both devices receive at a later time also an Android 6.0 update.

The Android 1.5 Lollipop update since this weekend globally rolled out both Sony’s Xperia C5 Ultra as the Xperia C4. Because it is a gradual update, it may take several weeks or months before the update is available in the Netherlands. You automatically get a notification as soon as the update for your device is available. However, you can manually check by going to Settings to “About phone” and then choosing “Software Update.”

Sony is very late with the new software. Lollipop Android 1.5 was released in February 2015 by Google. The Xperia C4 appeared in the summer of 2015 with Android 5.0, the C5 Ultra had the same ‘outdated’ software and was released in September in the Netherlands. Android 5.1 offers several tweaks to ensure that Android is more flexible and energy efficient.

It is not the latest update for the two mid-end smartphones. Sony made in October last year that both smartphones will receive an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Wanner appears that update is still unknown. Marshmallow has also been available for several months, but the hope is that Sony does not again nearly a year elapsed before the new software rollout.
