The Android Wear smartwatch of HTC will no longer appear. The watch under the codename Halfbeak is an old prototype that is not developed.
Last October, we saw the first leaked photos of the Android Wear smartwatch from HTC. A few days ago leaked a new series of photos. Because of this, we thought that the smartwatch may be the end of February during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona officially unveiled would be. That’s not going to happen. HTC has compared to website Android Police confirmed that the company does not have an Android Wear watch on the market.

On the photos, we saw a watch in collaboration with Under Armor was made. HTC and Under Armor have also previously collaborated on wearables for your health to be measured. The watch, known under the code name Halfbeak, would be the first Android Wear watch of HTC.
A source from Android Police states that on the photos a very early prototype. The Halfbeak is not something where the company has recently worked on. Probably is a prototype in the wrong hands, cases, or has an ex-employee of HTC fun with the unique wearable.
Android Wear 2.0
It seems logical for a company like HTC to stay away from Android Wear. The operating system and the matching smartwatch have not yet had great success. Might change that as Google and the beginning of February Android Wear 2.0 launches, though we have our doubts about that.
in Addition to HTC, other companies are still not done with Android Wear. So reveals Huawei may be next month the Huawei Watch 2 with Android Wear 2.0. Also works with Tag Heuer to a Android Wear 2.0-watch that in may be launched. The most important watches for Android Wear 2.0 coming from LG in collaboration with Google. Those watches are probably on 9 February together with the update of the operating system revealed.
