Google has a compatibiliteitsdocument drawn up to ensure that the many different Android devices are largely compatible with each other and with Android apps. This document is updated with new requirements for notifications.
Manufacturers have to comply with the so-called “Compatibility Definition Document” to the Android Compatibility Test Suite. This is a package with tests that go through should be to have official access to the Google Play Store.
