The release of Android 7.1.1 Nougat was one, even for Google standards, strange situation. At the end of the summer of last year was Android 7.0 Nougat released. A test version of Android 7.1 for Nexus devices appeared not much later, but only in december we saw the final release of Android 7.1 for non-Nexus devices. The release was version 7.1.1.
