Netflix allows Android users to watch movies on microSD memory card – GSMinfo.nl

The Android app, Netflix has received an update. Users can downloaded series and movies, now also on the microSD memory card.

The popular app Netflix provides users with a smartphone the ability to use a wide range of films, series and documentaries. With a subscription, the user gets access to the wonderful world of streaming video on demand. Streaming video requires a lot of data and therefore introduced Netflix at the end of last year, an update to the Netflix content offline. From november it is possible to have a selective number of movies and series and download them without an internet connection to view.

Netflix now brings an update that makes it possible for these downloads on the microSD memory card to save. Users can now choose whether or not the audiovisual material on their Android device or microSD memory card want to save. Netflix reports that the function is not available for all devices, but gives no further details. Possible only devices without the microSD card slot is excluded.

Starting in november, users can series and movies to download to their device. This content can then later, within a certain time to be viewed. Netflix removes the material automatically after a period of time. How long the film or series offline is available varies per title. The new version of the app is now in the Play Store.
