Android Apps Sky News hacked by Syrians - NU.nl

Earlier, news organizations like the Guardian, the Financial Times and CBS already targeted by the hackers. They say they are of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Supporters Media companies are targeted because they would spread.

It is the first time that apps are hacked. The apps Sky Go, Sky +, Sky Wifi, Sky News, Sky Sports and Sky Sports News Football logos and descriptions were changed.

It is unclear whether the apps are also substantively changed by the hackers. How the Syrians have gotten to the management behind the apps access is also unknown. All affected apps have been removed from Google Play.

Twitter wrote webcare team Sky, users had to remove the apps, but this account was hacked. “The tweet that instructs users to uninstall apps is no opinion of Sky”, said a spokesman opposite Cnet.
