Research: virus scanners on Android are easy to circumvent - tweakers.net

Researchers from two U.S. universities have antivirus software for Android scrutinized and have found that leaves a lot to be desired security. In particular, Lookout, one of the most popular virus scanners, is easy to train.

Researchers from Northwestern University and North Carolina State University took a total of ten virus under the microscope, including popular software like AVG, Lookout and Dr. Web. They write in their research paper, which was published in March already, but only now has come into the open.
