Android Jelly Bean finally exceeds Ice Cream Sandwich - NU.nl

According to figures from Google, the company behind Android.

28.4 percent of Android devices now running on Jelly Bean (versions 4.1 or 4.2). In April, the market share increased slightly by 2.4 percentage points. Because Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0), the previous variant, decreased by 1.8 percentage points and now leads at 27.5 percent, is finally Jellybean larger.

Android 4.1 already came in July 2012 and has done so almost a year to 4.0, which dates back to October 2011, to beat. Include Samsung and HTC equip their phones with Android. If Google releases an update, still want the manufacturers put their own software on the low back. Therefore sometimes it takes long before new versions of Android are available to users.
