Apple’s Music app store for Android supports music on sd card – Tweakers

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Audio_Coding

Het is just a standard. People sometimes think that Apple gets it is just crap zoels Calvinists also thought it was an apple H.264 format.

But this is compelte, total nonsense. AAC is just a standard codec, designed to be the successor to MP3, as H.264 was the successor of MPEG2.

Apple was one of the first companies to use AAC instead of MP3, like an Apple the first was to push H.264 (with iPod video, although with some support for certain encoding profiles with low complexity at the time, for smartphones, it was not very obvious to support a lot of video formats that your battery not immediately draw blank)

Anti-Apple fanatics have AAC gedubbd as’ apple audio codec, but that’s nonsense. it’s just advanced audio coding, a name that does not happen to correspond to AVC, advanced video coding, a codec that is better known as H.264.
