New Android apps in the Google Play Store: Week 5 – Android World

Because of all the apps that are put daily in the Google Play store, you often see the trees for the forest anymore. We have therefore the most interesting new and updated apps from week 5 of 2016 for your collection.

Guides by Lonely Planet

Almost everyone will Lonely Planet know of his travel guides. With its newest app, Guides, Lonely Planet brings his popular travel guides in app form for Android. Initially almost 40 cities, including Amsterdam, supported. The app lets you use offline maps, you can easily find activities and interesting places and lets you save interesting placed so you can find them again quickly. The app is free to download and use.

Do not Say Um

The app Do not Say Um trying to make an interesting way aware of your way of speaking. For our Dutch and Belgians seems the app, because it currently only supports English, not directly very interesting. Freeletics Running can be tried free of charge. In addition, you can four of the 12 running workouts for free. Additionally, you can also free fixed distances or a walk keeping with the app. If you want to make use of personalized training programs, you pay € 34.99 per three months

Mimi Attacker Alarm

The app Mimi Attacker Alarm gives a special twist to alarm clock apps. The popular crowdfunding platform Kickstarter has finally its own Android app. In the app, you can obviously see through all crowdfunding projects, you can view and you can of course also directly supporting a project videos.

This week has also reminded several large and popular apps updated. Below is a summary of the most important updates from the past week

Google Apps:. Inbox, Google Docs, YouTube, and Hangouts

With the update to get version 7.0 Google Hangouts the ability to respond quickly via notifications. There are also some new Material Design changes were made and you can place a shortcut to a chat conversation on your home screen.

Inbox by Gmail, the alternative email client for Google, since this week an improved search function. This should make it easier to find the information in a single glance what you’re looking for. Example: a search for flight you see for example in a clear map your flight. Even things like addresses will be displayed immediately.

When you subscribe to YouTube channels, you get a notification when a new video is uploaded to these channels. In the latest version of the YouTube app, you can add them directly from the notification to you “look later’ list.

The latest version of Google Calendar for Android gives you more suggestions as contacts and Titles for appointments. Also new calendars have been added to national holidays you can easily add to your calendar.

It’s been a while since Google are Google Docs app opdeelde in several individual apps. These apps were the last update which makes it possible to use the convenient comment function productivity apps from Google smartphone.



Updates Dutch apps

The app PostNL was provided this week an update which you ‘stamps’ can create. These “seals” consist of number and letter codes you on the site of where a normal postage stamp is to write. The seals have been around a while, but as of last week can be found in the new app from PostNL. There may also be heavier messages and packages are equipped with postage that way.
