Because Android is a great diversity of apps has to do almost everything what you want, I’ve been looking forward to an Android tablet. You have netwerksniffers, SNMP MIB browsers, port scanners are, Windows management tools, and even a few SSH utilities. The disadvantage is that some of these apps a rooted device is required. But for these apps it is the effort that you put into it worth it.
1. Fing
Fing – called to “ping” has almost every quick network test that you need. And it is free! The app is well designed and easy to use, but has two drawbacks. First is root and second you do not know always what is going on. I would like to see a icon was indicating that the app still is searching.

2. IP Calculator
IP Calculator is not a comprehensive app for IP’s to calculate, but it is a useful because the program immediately subnetinformatie and whois DNS information of the IP address displays. If you are on a more usual way to subnets, try IP Network Calculator by developer OrbitingPluto. This app is also free of charge.
