Android developers have to the without Eclipse – Computerworld – Computerworld

In 2009, developed Google a plug-in development environment Eclipse, which is mainly used by Java developers. By the Android Developer Tools (ADT) for Eclipse to create, was hoping Google devs who already worked with the popular IDE worked to be able to entice to Android-apps to write, and that seems to have worked.

Four years later, it developed the Google official Android IDE named Android Studio, and now, three years later, according to Google, most developers Android Studio instead of Eclipse. Android managar Jamal Eason writes in a blog post with the announcement that 92 percent of the top 125 Android apps in Android Studio is built.

Google press ADT-fans at the heart of that much-loved features are now added to Android Studio, including DDMS, Trace Viewer, Network Monitor and CPU Monitor. Also points out Eason on a survey that allows developers to indicate what would prevent them from of a switch to Android Studio.
