Android continues to dominate the smartphone market – Telegraaf.nl

Android is still the most popular operating system for tablets and smartphones. In 2014, Android’s market share rose by 2.8% percentage points to 81.5 percent. This emerges from figures published by research firm IDC

.

In 2014, nearly 1.06 million Android devices were shipped. In 2013 this there were 802 million. Which amounts to an increase of as much as 32 percent. Apple also sold more devices, but despite record sales of the iPhone 6 market share declined over 2014 by 0.3% percentage points to 14.8 percent.
