Mailbox ‘optimized’ for Android tablets – Tablets Magazine

Dropbox has the email application Mailbox for Android includes an update that adds support for the larger screens. Or well, about then, because of a real optimization we can not talk yet.

Although the email application Mailbox as a standalone app started on iOS, the application since the takeover by Dropbox also available for Android. It was therefore not surprising that there was not really a good optimization for Android tablets available, since the way it takes time to develop such features. It now has to last so long before Dropbox here dabbling in was a little strange. And although the current update provides a solution, it is not what you may expect.

Mailbox for Android works now perhaps slightly better on an Android tablet, but a real optimization we can not yet speak . Currently, the interface is exactly the same as on the smartphone, but larger. Mailbox therefore makes absolutely no use of all that extra space that offers an Android tablet. Thus, for example, the Android version is not even a menu on the left side of the screen, which is present in the iPad version, and everything simply does not feel intuitively that way.

There are still some making any adjustments, such as improved cooperation with Dropbox for Business and better integration with Samsung’s TouchWiz, but not everyone will benefit from it. Mailbox features like Gmail inbox by the option to swipe away messages or for a later time schedule. You can also store messages directly in a given store them when you wipe away and there is a chat-like structure which you can read and archive messages faster. You can find the app on the download link below.
