Project Astoria, the official Android emulator for Windows 10, is in trouble. With this emulator would appmakers not much work need to be carried to their Android app to run on a Windows device. The emulator is never made public for developers, but they could already sign up to test the incomplete emulator.

Website Windows Central but now multiple sources told that Project Astoria provisionally been placed in the freezer, because the work did not go as planned. What exactly is going on with Project Astoria is not clear. The page to register as a developer still exists and Microsoft has no official news brought out yet.

 Windows 10 Android

In addition to the sources of Windows Central, however, there are several reasons to believe that Project Astoria stop put. So there is no question in the forums for developers since September more answered by Microsoft. The latest version of Windows Mobile 10 also has no Android subsystem.

The promise from Microsoft over Android apps on Windows 10 gave Android appmakers direct many future platforms to publish apps. Windows 10 does not runs only on PCs but also on tablets and smartphones. For consumers, the news was possibly a reason to still get a Windows Phone in the house.
