Android continues to lead business smartphone market – Computable

Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS fighting in recent years in the Netherlands for the largest share of business smartphones. Android seems early 2016 continues to be on Apple. In the business market uses 39 percent a smartphone with Android operating system, compared to 37 percent of iOS. The iPhone is still the most used smartphone. Computer Profile loved the last six months of interviews with fifteen hundred iT managers of Dutch business establishments with fifty or more employees of the telecom area. This shows that Android 39 percent is the most used for business smartphones OS. This is closely followed by iOS (37 percent).

Blackberry, which was still the market leader four years ago, has virtually disappeared from the commercial market. Only 2 percent of business smartphones running on this operating system. Symbian devices, which were last seen in a number of sectors, are not to be found in the market in 2016.

Android is the most common platform, but Apple is the Dutch business market is still the most common smartphone manufacturer. Approximately 38 percent of business smartphone is an iPhone. Samsung is the number two with 31 percent. All other manufacturers running Android constitute less than 3 percent of the total. Huawei first appeared in 2015 on the market with a share of more than 1 percent. This year, the proportion is expanded to about 1.5 percent.

Almost a third of these locations using MDM software, compared to only one in ten locations of businesses with fifty to 250 employees.
