Currently the app supports 17 languages. These dictionaries can be downloaded to the device itself, thus making them immediately accessible. This eliminates the need to use on vacation for example, not to be costly Internet made.

“Our goal was to build the most modern and largest dictionary app for Android,” said Dr. Gereon Frahling, founder and director of Linguee.

Linguee is a fairly unique digital dictionary. The translations hail from academic texts which not only the word itself but also the context better coming out of the paint.

The app is free to download and contains no ads.
