Android N you let Chrome two screens running side by side – Android Planet

Android N has the convenient option to display two applications side by side on your screen. Until now, these were always two different apps, but it turns out that you can watch at the same time two windows with Chrome.

Because it is assumed was that the Android N split function only worked for different apps, beta testers use two different browsers to turn two pages side by side. Not so convenient course, which is now fortunately no longer necessary.

Android Developer Preview 3 N is clear to see how Chrome can split and therefore can put away a tab on both the left and right side of your screen . Handy if you want to compare two websites, or on the left page and read something you want to see more information about on the right. Remember that you must turn the third preview to allow Android N Chrome multitask.

The option appears to drag the Chrome menu so you easily a tab next to the current screen. This allows Chrome is restarted on the other half of the screen and can you also open in multiple tabs. The relatively small screen of a smartphone this feature might be less practical, but for tablets, this is undoubtedly very useful.

Now that Chrome has demonstrated that it is possible to have the same apps multitasking in Android N, of course, is whether other apps are also invited to join in their favor. Logical candidates for this include the Microsoft Office apps, or email apps like Gmail and Inbox. The Android N test version can be downloaded from Google’s beta program. Later, the Android version will be officially made available this year.
