Google has been there all along, the slow update of Android. It is now considering strong smartphone vendors who fail to nail the pillory

.

This was reported Bloomberg. That normally reliable news agency relies on insiders who did not mention his name.

The lack of Android updates teases from the start. The smartphone manufacturers make their devices in no time make orphaned, as they all patches and updates. Google has no way of forcing them there to change that. This will result in less than the half of the Android devices running on the last or penultimate version. And that’s not the users, Apple proves. IOS takes 84 percent currently to the latest version. Manufacturers of Android smarthones have, in other words, just do not want the costs and georganiseer that requires a decent update process.

Judge will not intervene

In the Netherlands attempts Consumer Association to do something with. Early this year, the Consumer Association went to court to force Samsung interim relief to phones than to patch at least 2 years. The court dismissed the claim of the hand, because that would not lend themselves to a lawsuit. The matter was not urgent interest, and the financial consequences would be huge for Samsung, argued the court – which apparently itself has no Android device. Consumentenbond remains in publications and testing emphasize that zz the defective patch to find a highly undesirable situation.

Google will soon tap that keg by publishing a list of manufacturers who keep their devices or up to date and applying patches. It would all go along now manufacturers with initial findings, to suppliers to provide an opportunity to get back on the list of manufacturers where you can buy a device with some confidence in the long-term security.
